Bringing out the best DIY parent in all of us with these wooden heart Valentines for Darren and Lillian to pass out to friends at school. I am not a super crafty Mom, but I found these wooden hearts on amazon and I knew they would be such a fun activity to decorate with the kids!!

Adding in a few of my favorite art supplies from Ooly including glitter glue, colored pencils, and watercolor brushes.

Ooly has these really great Chroma blends watercolor brush markers. Reasons I love them… they are less messy to use with kids than traditional watercolor paints and I don’t have to worry about my 4 year old cleaning the brush in between each color!! These colorful array of watercolor markers have brush tips, and all you have to do is add water for a fun water-coloring technique.

Lillian is adding in glitter glue for all the Valentine’s Day shimmer and shine! The kids had so much fun creating these for friends. As a Valentine’s “treat” we decided to attach unicorn, mermaid, superhero, monster, and Astronaut pencils to each heart! The kids needed some help attaching the ribbons and pencils!

The best part about this was the kids had so much fun being creative and each Valentine is unique for each friend. They mixed and matched special pencils to match the hearts and none look the same.
